Christy was one of the sweetest women that ever lived. She was the beloved wife of Wayne, mother to Steve and Jeff, and doting grandma of Abigail, Bethany, Melissa and Nathan. She was also a wonderful mother-in-law. Over the years Christy has been a spiritual mother to the many sons and daughters that came to stay at their home on Heather street in Richmond.
Christy had breast cancer that was diagnosed in September, 2005. The cancer later moved to her bones sometime in 2006. She suffered with incredible patience and as her time on earth became shorter, her joy and anticipation increased more and more. The Lord took her peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 51 years of age. For more detail on Christy's life and illness see Wayne's post "The story of Christy." This blog has been a joint effort between Wayne and Steve and Susan, with some help from Coralee and others. It is our desire that God would get all the glory - not us!
